The aim of this work is the development of general phases to the geotechnical design for an underground car parking for 660 cars. This one is in San Juan-Etxeandia area in Irún (Guipuzcoa, Basque Autonomous Community, Spain).
The starting data is the research outcome of a preliminary geological knowledge by “Instituto Geológico y Minero de España” (I.G.M.E.) the structure of the rocks, tectonic and history. Following the geological-technical investigation “in situ” and laboratory test have been developed by “Ikerlur” official document. Furthermore step is the choice of the representative geotechnical models that need to the follow construction of geotechnical structures.
In the next steps there are the choices of the construction sequences, to the type of retaining structure and of the foundations. Because the construction is very closed to civil buildings, the chosen excavation method is Top-Down.
The main aim for the project is the choice of the best design solution for the wall using the software RIDO 4.12 to study the displacements, moment and shear force of the wall.
