The starting point for this work was the idea that technology, nowadays, makes the study of tuning systems easier than ever before. Whoever is interested in experimenting with alternative tuning systems, other than 12 tone Equal Tempered (12tET), in use in the Western world for the last 150 years, may use retunable hardware and software synthesizers, specialized applications as the one I use, LMSO and many online resources. I have also included microtonal pieces I have composed to explore a few facets of this endless field of studies.
