Abstract
My work synthesizes, with many particular stories, technical details and social-historical researches, the films and documentaries of Istituto Luce in Italian's fascists era, its repercussion on Italian society, in his language, in his culture. On discussion i showed a DVD with the most interesting documentaries, selected by me in all the video-archive of the Insitute. You can ask me the DVD, and I'll send it at everyone will buy my thesis, if you want.
The fascism had an particular interest for the cinema, and the Istituto LUCE was surely the most important success of Mussolini's government in the propagandist field. This success was obtained by the large diffusion of cinema in these years.

My thesis' summary:

- a little introduction on this research;
- history of fascism, at the origins to the government;
- birth of Istituto LUCE and its bureaucratic and economic development;
- Istituto LUCE work's analysis in the different years of production;
- social, cultural and linguistic analysis of the Istituto LUCE's films importance in the Italian society of thirties;
- population consensus to the charismatic person of Benito Mussolini;
- criticism of regime, critic analysis of films and documentary;
- conclusions.

Thesis was discussed on March 2003 at Naples University "Orientale". The final vote of candidate was 107 on 110.
