Tesionline Best Graduate Prizes

Tesionline will bestow 17 awards for the total amount of 16.000 Euros, according to criteria listed in the following regulation.






Regulation


1. Nominees
The competition is open to authors who published their theses or dissertations on Tesionline website.

2. Prizes
A 1.000 (one thousand) euros prize will be assigned to the author of each thesis or dissertation written in an Italian University, concerning one of the following academic areas:
For a total amount of 14 awards

A 500 (five hundred) euros prize will be assigned to the author of an English written thesis or dissertation compiled in a non-Italian University.

A 500 (five hundred) euros prize will be assigned to the translator of one thesis or dissertation published on Tesionline.

3. Definition of specific academic area
As regards specific academic areas of each thesis/dissertation, those indicated by authors when submitting data concerning their theses/dissertations bear witness, except for Tesionline’s right to modify those settings, in case Tesionline is firmly convinced academic areas selected by authors are not suitable. Since May 7, 2008, Tesionline defined different academic areas, thus academic areas of each thesis/dissertation published before May 7, 2008 must be updated by authors, logging in their Personal Home. Theses/dissertations that still make use of old academic areas will not be included among the finalists.

4. Finalist selection
From October the 1st 2008 to March the 31, 2009 six theses/dissertations will be screened among those published on Tesionline. Among those selected theses/dissertations, three will be chosen because, during the indicated period, rated the highest number of downloads among each academic area. While, three will be chosen by teachers and researchers licensed by Tesionline. Whenever necessary to settle a draw, total number of downloads criterion (i.e. referring to the whole period of publication of each thesis) will be appealed. For what concerns awards assigned to translators, solely the translation will be considered (i.e. not the scores of the original thesis/dissertation).

5. Prize giving
The panel juries will prize the best theses/dissertations among the nominated ones. Prizes issued by Tesionline will be assigned by juries of professors and researches accredited on Tesionline. Among the winning theses/dissertations, Tesionline editorial staff will appoint the best one with an extra prize of 1.000 (one thousand) euros.

6. Winners nominees
Winners nominees will be delivered during May 2009 on Tesionline website. Winners will receive delivering notice by e-mail.

7. Prize payment
Tesionline will ask the winners details of their bank account in order to pay them by bank transfers.

8. Regulations changes
Tesionline reserves the right to modify or to supplement the present regulations.
